Is there an online resource of Forest Row and environs views and how to access them? It's hard to tell from OS Maps, so local knowledge would be of great use.

Good post Graham and one we all wonder about I imagine. I don't think there is one 'truth' and it will probably turn out to be somewhere in the middle. LIke you, the couple of people I have spoken to within the industry did not turn out to be so c...

Hi Graham,
that's fine. Just call or email me when you have a chance. my direct email is georgiat@btinternet.com which may be easier then going through the Transition site.

Good luck with your work.

Hi Graham,
I hope we did not misunderstand the Saturday. I had meant this Saturday the 16th. I heard that you had called, but I could not call back as I don't have your number. Anyway I will be at Tablehurst from 11am this Saturday. We could meet at 12.
Thanks

Evening isn't great. If you are not available in the day, maybe we could meet at the weekend. I will be at Tablehurst on Saturday morning, so that is a possibility.

HI Graham, delighted to meet up and talk politics with a small or big P! My interest too is often around bridging the gaps - the gaps are usually smaller than we think I find once we get talking.
let me know when is a good time to meet - mobile - and I text! 0771 5376787. I am a mum so during school hours usually suits best.

About Me:
My wife (Tonya) and I helped establish Transition Godalming. We are now slowly learning about Forest Row having just moved here in Feb 09.

My particular interest is in bridging the gaps between people through conversations, events and service.

I'm considering beginning another research project into community wisdom.

Cradle to Cradle

Well worth a watch if you have a spare 20 mins:

Well worth a read over a few evenings in suitable location:

(It's made from polymers not trees and you can 'upcycle it!)

Uncovering the 'Truth'

I was in London yesterday at a conference about the future or organisational design for international companies. The thought leaders in this area are looking at internet software tools that allow people to share information openly and through their informal networks, thus allowing for people to find what they are looking for much more quickly.

They also talked about how eventually search engines will find you, rather that you having to search for things.

I also met a guy who is the head of HR… Continue

How can I best serve my community?

This is a question that I have asked myself wherever I live. It brings up many interesting answers. It also invites me to ask people in the community how I can best serve it or rather, them.

As I am new to this site and this village (even though I am physically living just outside Forest Row, my head and heart are most definitely in it and our intention is to move in when the time is right), I thought I would write down some of my thoughts to give you a better idea of where I am coming from. I… Continue
