Hi Angie

Your name has come up a few times in conversations recently and I know I have not replied to your comment months ago about putting me in touch with local sustainability projects in schools.

Are you up for meeting for a cup of tea sometime?

Dear Angie,

I am doing mail outs to the EDAP group, some of which are confidential and I don't want to put through the website. Would you be so kind as to give me your email address and let me know whether you have broadband.

Regards Laurence

Dear Angie,

I joined the EDAP group not long ago and am now doing the minutes and project management. I 'll include you on the circulation via the website.

We are asking the members of the group for 3 Key Messages to include at the beginning of the document, with a view to choosing/amalgamating the best.

We'd love to get your ideas.

This is what I have received so far.

Regards

Laurence

1 Things are going to change, when demand for energy exceeds supply.
2 Energy decent is something we can all engage in and can be effective, much more effective and immediate than building non-renewable energy and nuclear or coal power generation, smart cars and high tech. solutions.
3 Climate change will not be a soft change due to +ve feedback effects.

ROWENA

1 Change is already happening at many different levels, Transition groups seek to promote and encourage this change
2 Co-operative working is fun, creative and lets people do what they want to do – together
3 If we take the messages of climate change seriously – such as 1/3rd of all mammalian species being extinct by 2050, what do we want to get engaged in and what can we do?

LAURENCE

1 If it was not for the worldwide recession, energy prices would be much higher and climate change an even greater threat. That time will come again.
2 The best way of controlling the future is to create it ourselves and we can do this by preparing now for the changes to come.
3 The whole community working on this project can only strengthen our hearts, minds and long term finances.

Yay Pauline - it got thru -
I called Janet at the PC this morning and told her that jars of rhubarb and crumble would be arriving as a gift of appreciation from the Transition group to the councillors in all they do voluntary for the village, ie none of them take the allocated council allowance, and she was very touched and grateful -
thanks for producing so many so deliciously and I let them know Plawhatch donated the rhubarb -

Hi Angie
I have made a write up to go with the Zesty Rhubarb Spread and printed it on A5 card folded so it looks quite pretty. There is space on the back if you want to add something about Transition. I will put the card in with the jar and crumble topping when I deliver them tomorrow to the Parish Council. I am not completely o-fay with the transition communication set up and don't know how to attach what I have done already - I could e-mail it but I don't have your address. This is teh forst ever comment I have put on the wall so I don't know if it is going to work - here goes....
Berst Wishes
