Just came across this interesting camping/ getting into the wild in a very 'easy' way business down near Lewes... tracking, ornithology, outdoor showers and river swimming, cooking rabbits, local food etc.... looks interesting:

Hey guys.
I was wondering if there are any of you who might be interested in learning to skin and tan a deer hide the native American way. It's an intensive activity but could be very enjoyable and rewarding in a group. I am not sure about the setup really but thought that I should get some feedback from you guys and take it from there.

I am meeting with the Totnes people on 4th April to look at how we can incorporate schools work in the Conference in London in May. I think it would be worthwhile if we cross-pollinate ideas and meet up between 4th April and 22nd May to produce our own document of ideas.

How does that sound to you all?

As a retired schoolteacher I'd be glad to help in any of the FR school projects in a voluntary capacity.

Hello Graham and Angie,
I am very interested in organizing some activities in schools. I am already teaching in one school sustainable education. I have lots of material and ideas.

Hi folks, I work with school in my day job and have a meeting with Rob Hopkins and the Totnes team in April about developing a transition product for schools. Would welcome input from anyone here on this.

The Department of Children, Schools and Families has launched awebsite to enable people "to share their aspirations for the future of life and learning" by writing messages on flyable virtual paper planes:
millionfutures.org.uk

Questions asked are:

What are your hopes for the future?
What is your biggest worry for the future?
What do you want your community to be like?
What do you want your country to be like?
What should education be like for our grandchildren?
What skills do you think would be important?
